The challenge

A new name needed a shared expression.

When Good Shepherd and Trinity came together as Sanctuary, the Fort Wayne congregation needed a clear identity for its next chapter. The brand had to feel welcoming to newcomers while giving two church communities something they could share.

Our approach

Make the welcome visible.

We connected the identity, website, and everyday church materials around the same idea: there is room for you here. A calm visual system and clear next steps help people recognize Sanctuary, understand what to expect, and find a way to connect.

Before & after / Logo & brand system

From Good Shepherd
to Sanctuary.

The Good Shepherd UMC identity gave way to a shared brand for a new chapter with Trinity. The comparison shows the former church logo alongside Sanctuary’s new stained-glass-inspired symbol and wordmark.

Deep navy anchors the new identity, while green, teal, and jewel-tone accents bring warmth and life. Color and typography guidelines help the congregation carry that identity consistently into everyday communication.

Messaging & website

A first visit starts before Sunday.

The website is organized around the questions a new visitor brings: Is this church for me? What should I expect? How do I take the next step? Welcoming language, real congregation photography, and a prominent “Plan Your Visit” path make those answers easier to find.
